What It Does:
This coverage protects you if you’re held legally responsible for injuries or property damage caused while using a small watercraft (like a boat or jet ski) that you own.
✅ What’s Covered
- Bodily injury to others (e.g., another boater or swimmer)
- Damage to someone else’s boat or dock
- Legal defense costs if you’re sued
Applies only to watercraft within horsepower limits specified by your policy:
- Up to 75 HP with basic and Plus plans
- Up to 100 HP with Select plan
🚫 What’s Not Covered
- Watercraft exceeding the horsepower limit
- Commercial use of watercraft (e.g., rentals or charters)
- Damage to your own boat (this needs a separate policy)
💡 Real-Life Example
You accidentally hit another boat while driving your motorized fishing boat. The other party is injured and their boat is damaged. Watercraft Liability helps cover their medical bills, repairs, and your legal costs.
